
This is the first wildlife sanctuary of Maharashtra (1958). It is near about 351 km2 area and also it comes under south tropical semi-evergreen forest area. It lies at the Sahyadri sub-cluster zone and is popularly known as Bison Sanctuary. Other animals sheltered in the sanctuary include leopard, sloth bear, wild boar, squirrel, barking deer, mouse deer, sambar, giant squirrel and wild dogs.
This beautiful waterfall located at village Sherpe in Vaibhavwadi taluka, this waterfall is known as Swimmer's Delight. A swim in its cool pool is very safe and refreshing which will definitely refresh your mind. Here one can easily explore the secret of cascading water by reaching close to the spot from where water emerges. The area around the waterfall is a natural habitat for rare species of birds, especially the hornbills.
The Kunkeshwar temple, also known as the Shiva temple.It is believed that it had built around the 12th century by the rulers of the Yadavas. This temple has been constructed in the Konkani architectural style which is very artistic. The temple is popularly known as the ‘Kashi of the South Konkan’.
